Reading the Landscape

With her two dogs, Esther Saanum walks the fields and roads around her farm outside the village of North Hatley, Quebec, and is closely attuned to the changing of the seasons. The poet has a rich interior life as well, and the reader is privy to her witty observations about herself, her neighbours and the times in which we live.
